The Mission
Byway Coaching exists to make high-quality coaching accessible to pastors, missionaries, and leaders who often can’t afford the hundreds of dollars per session that professional coaching typically costs. As a support-based, donation-driven ministry, Byway bridges that gap—making it possible for underfunded and underserved leaders to receive the coaching they need to thrive. Through practical tools, spiritual insight, and relational support, we help leaders gain clarity, grow in health, and lead with renewed strength. Because when leaders get healthy, the communities they lead flourish.
Matt Moore brings over 25 years of ministry experience, serving as a staff member, pastor, church planter, and coach. He has served on multiple church boards as well as on the board of an international ministry network. His ministry background includes campus-focused churches at the University of Michigan—his alma mater, Michigan State University, and the University of Texas, as well as experience in church plants, megachurches, and house churches. He was ordained in 2016.
With five years of coaching experience, Matt has coached pastors and missionaries across 28 states and multiple countries, and also mentors other coaches in their development. He has led intensive leadership development programs, trained and equipped missionaries in support raising, and continues to invest in leaders through the Byway Coaching ministry. In addition, he currently coaches with Reliant Mission, an international ministry that mobilizes support-based workers for the Great Commission, as well as with Elementum, a leadership development network for college and young adult leaders.
